FABULOUS FOIL | Foil Wedding Invitations
When it comes to FABULOUS wedding invitations, nothing says it better than foil!
We here at Absolutely Fabulous Paper Emporium are all about the “reveal” when your guests open their envelopes. And close to nothing gives more power to your AbFab Invitation POW! than an invitation embellished with FOIL!
Foil is a wonderful upgrade to add to your wedding invitation, and the amount of presentation power delivered – AMAZING! The effect can be subtle or all out WOW! And fun!
Here are some of our favorite ideas.
FAB and OH so FUN
This wedding invitation is, hands down, one of our favorite when it comes to FAB, fun, and whimsy!
I love how the foil & fun is duplicated in the gold-foil polka dots on the envelope lining. The painted edges of this heavy-stock invitation, and hand-calligraphy type font used, in just the right places, adds to the whimsy of this gorgeous invitation.
Yet the lux of the heavy stock, paired with the traditional layout, reflects the essence of the elegance of a formal and Fabulous event!
This oh-so-Fun-&-Fab design also comes in a landscape version (horizontal orientation), and do note, that because of the thickness of these painted-edge wedding invitation cards, this invitation falls into the higher price range for wedding invitations.
Painted-edge wedding invitations also come in a thinner cardstock version, and this layout for wording and this lining can be used on any other wedding invitations as well.

Elegant Sophistication
Classic elegance can be taken one notch higher, simply by printing in foil! Our bride took a very classic and traditional invitation style, bumped up the size of her duogram (monogram for two), paired it with a trendy and stylish font, and then added the WOW! by printing in foil!
Note how this wedding invitation does such a good job at marrying the traditional, AND FORMAL, wording and invitation format with a really chic and contemporary look. This invitation never fails to capture the eye of all the brides who visit our studio in Houston.
For the paper, we chose a heavy custom stock to give substance and foundation to this wedding invitation. The paper is crisp, sans embellishments, to not compete with the other elements of the design, and has a smooth and buttery finish.
